Automobiles and Motorcycles

Automobiles

Automobiles are vehicles with four wheels and are used to carry a lot of passengers. The word automobile comes from the French word meaning “car,” and the car was invented in the 19th century. Before automobiles, there were bicycles and motorcycles. Motorcycles were powered by one-cylinder gasoline engines and had steerable front wheels, while cars had a drive chain attached to the rear wheel.

Motorcycles are much more difficult to drive than cars. They take years to master. A new driver is often taught by an older driver. The older drivers are responsible for teaching the new driver how to deal with situations on the road. For example, a new driver should turn his head to see what is coming next.

There are many different kinds of automobiles, each with its own purpose. Automobiles can be classified on the basis of the type of engine and the size of the vehicle. A motorcycle, for example, may be more efficient than a car. It may get 50 miles per gallon of fuel, while an average car gets about 10 mpg.

The internal combustion engine first emerged in 1886, and by the 1920s, automobiles had taken over the streets of Europe and the United States. The first mass-produced automobile was the Model T, which was marketed to middle class families.
